Incident Report

July 7, 2026, one person was injured as the result of a shooting incident that happened at 6:35 a.m. at the GM assembly plant.

According to preliminary reports, the shooting occurred in the parking lot of the assembly plant, located off the corner of Abram Street and TX-360.

Officials say that a 24-year-old employee at the GM plant was shot multiple times by another employee. The victim was said to be in critical condition. The alleged shooter reportedly admitted to being involved and was arrested. Reports say authorities are recommending charges for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
