Collin County, TX — March 5, 2024, Sharon McClain was injured in a car accident shortly before 6:45 p.m. along State Highway 78.
According to authorities, 52-year-old Sharon McClain was traveling in a northbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on State Highway 78 attempting to make a left turn onto westbound Farm to Market 2756 when the accident took place.
The causal factors that led to the accident remain unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a northbound Subaru Outback failed to control its speed, colliding with the rear-end of the pickup truck as a result.
McClain incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. She was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. The driver of the Subaru apparently sustained moderate injuries as well, although medical transport was declined by the victim.
