How Did This Accident Occur?
In past cases when I’ve had to find out how someone got on the wrong side of the road, the answer almost always turned out to be alcohol. It would surprise me if that wasn’t something authorities looked into here. That said, this time of day makes alcohol a bit less common, and it’s important to consider other possible explanations, anyway.
Could it be the driver was just unfamiliar with this area? Were they experiencing some kind of medical episode? Is the signage or markings along this road confusing? Did poor visibility play a role? Likely or not, it’s important to consider these factors so there’s no room for speculation about what went wrong. Not only do people involved in a crash need clear evidence telling their side of the story, but also any potential hazards that contributed to this accident may continue putting lives at risk if left unaddressed.
