Elkhart Lake, WI — January 10, 2024, a mother and two children were injured after a semi-truck accident at around 11:00 a.m. along Highway 67.
Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the accident ended up with the truck crashing through Cal & Gus Motors, located off the corner of Lincoln Street and Rhine Street.
According to officials, a a mother and her two children were in an SUV crossing through the Lincoln and Rhine intersection. While doing so, it’s alleged that a southbound semi-truck failed to stop at the four-way stop sign, and it crashed into the SUV. Following this, the truck ran off-road where it crashed into the side of Cal & Gus Motors.
The mother and her children were taken to a local hospital. Their injuries were described as minor. There were no other reported injuries. It appears there was a citation filed for the trucker allegedly running the stop sign. No further information is available at this time.
