San Jacinto County, TX — January 15, 2024, Selina Gilchriest was killed while Drew Broom, Jaqueline Teeters, and a minor were injured in a multi-vehicle truck accident just before 8:30 a.m. along Highway 59.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the southbound lanes of U.S. 59 on the Trinity River Bridge.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a Toyota Tundra allegedly lost control, resulting in a collision with a Freightliner. This crash resulted in secondary and tertiary accidents, as well. 37-year-old Selina Gilchriest had reportedly exited her vehicle and was attempting to assist others when she became pinned between two vehicles due to one of the chain reaction accidents.
Gilchriest was transported to a medical facility, as were 37-year-old Drew Broom, 44-year-old Jaqueline Teeters, and an 8-year-old child. Gilchriest, however, reportedly succumbed to her injuries a short time after arriving at the hospital. The current conditions of the others injured in this accident are currently unknown.
