Williamson County, TX — September 24, 2025, Sebastian Lopez was killed as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 1:15 p.m. along RM 1869.
Authorities said that the crash happened just west of the intersection with US Highway 183, east of Liberty Hill.
Officials said that 18-year-old Sebastian Lopez was in a Dodge Ram going southwest along RM 1869. In events which are not confirmed right now, the Dodge and an oncoming tractor-trailer collided. Due to this, Sebastian Lopez reportedly was killed.
No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details are unavailable.

I certainly am not here to speculate about what happened here, but I am curious to know how the investigations into this accident are being handled. Frankly, while some authorities are able to put aside their bias and let the evidence speak for itself, others will simply assume the victim did something wrong due to their age young age. This can lead to faulty or rushed conclusions.
At the end of the day, there’s a family that deserves answers. If authorities can get them those answers without jumping to conclusions, that’s good. If they can’t, then they need to hand the investigations off to more thorough independent investigators who can do better.
