Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
A school bus crash can obviously raise serious concerns, depending on what went wrong. A reckless driver in a car is one thing. If the bus driver made a mistake, though, that’s a whole other problem entirely. It would raise questions about the driver’s training and qualifications, their driving history, whether the school district or bus company has had issues in the past, and whether there need to be steps to change policy so this sort of thing doesn’t happen again. Families affected by the crash deserve a just resolution, but the community as a whole deserves to know there won’t be further danger.
