UPDATE (February 20, 2024): Recent reports have been released which clarify what happened leading up to and during this accident. According to these reports, the vehicle may have been traveling at a high rate of speed. It reportedly failed to safely negotiate a curve in the roadway; the vehicle veered left, crossing over the center line and entering the opposing lane of traffic before the driver side tires struck a curb and the left side of the vehicle became airborne. Ultimately, the vehicle overturned and spun, coming to a stop resting on its roof. Sara Maria White was ejected during the course of the accident.

UPDATE (January 30, 2024): The woman who lost her life as a result of the accident has been identified as 22-year-old Sara Marie White, of San Antonio.

San Antonio, TX — January 28, 2024, a woman was killed in a single-car accident at approximately 1:30 a.m. along Del Lago Parkway.

According to authorities, a 22-year-old woman and her male passenger were traveling in a vehicle in the vicinity of the Del Lago Parkway and Vermillion intersection when the accident occurred.

Officials state that the vehicle’s tires and speed were likely factors leading up to the crash. The car, which was the only vehicle involved in the accident, reportedly rolled an unknown number of times before coming to a stop. The woman, who had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash, incurred reportedly fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene. The male occupant of the vehicle was apparently uninjured.
