Accident Report

July 29, 2026, Sara Brewster was injured following an 18-wheeler accident at around 8:19 a.m. along Highway 31.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened just west of the Highway 31/Highway 7 and US 175 intersection in northwest Athens.

According to officials, 25-year-old Sara Brewster was in a Lincoln MKC going westbound on the highway. A Peterbilt tractor-trailer was also going westbound. Authorities say that the Lincoln crashed into the back of the 18-wheeler.

Due to the accident, Sara Brewster reportedly sustained serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. Additional details about the crash remain unconfirmed at this time.
