Stephens County, TX — December 19, 2025, Roy Charles Ratliff was killed as the result of a motorcycle accident at around 2:30 p.m. along FM 578.
According to initial statements, the accident took place off southbound lanes of Farm-to-Market 578.
Investigators said that 69-year-old Roy Charles Ratliff was on a motorcycle going along FM 578. While doing so, the motorcycle lost control, and it crashed into a guardrail. Roy Ratliff died as a result of the crash.

Considering the victim here isn’t around to give their side of the story, I have to wonder if authorities have been fair in their investigations into this. Too often, I find people jumping to conclusions about motorcyclists without actually waiting for clear evidence. They just assume the worst and fail to consider possible factors the victim may not have had control over. That’s why I often tell families to trust their instincts. If authorities can clear up all their doubts and concerns, it’s probably because they did good investigations. But if there are doubts and things aren’t adding up, there may be more to the story.
