Kaufman County, TX — December 17, 2024, Roxana Rios-Diaz sustained injuries following a car accident at around 2:30 a.m. on West Moore Avenue.
Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the incident occurred in the area of the Walmart on the northwest corner of the U.S. 80 W and highway 205 intersection.
According to officials, 21-year-old Roxana Rios-Diaz was in a Cadillac SUV said to be going westbound along Moore Avenue. For reasons not confirmed right now, the Cadillac left the roadway toward the median. There, it crashed into the guardrail and overturned. Rios-Diaz was reportedly seriously injured as a result.

There isn’t much more information available right now, and that’s unfortunately nothing new when it comes to single-vehicle wrecks. Believe it or not, they’re one of the most common kinds of accidents folks call me about. Usually, their worries are the same: they don’t feel authorities gave their crash the attention it deserved. There are certainly departments out there whose traffic division is well-equipped, skilled, and dedicated to making sure nothing slips through the cracks. But people who wait around assuming their crash is in good hands sometimes find out the hard way that they’re not getting the whole story.
