There are certain types of crashes which are notorious for being brushed aside because they’re not usually seen as a high priority. Single-vehicle wrecks and motorcycle accidents are among the worst offenders. There are a lot of negative biases surrounding them, and authorities are sometimes more focused on trying to blame someone than actually letting the evidence speak for itself. I certainly can’t say one way or another what happened in this accident, but I also wouldn’t take any preliminary statements at face value. There could be a lot more to this story, and it may take a lot more than standard police investigation to dig up the details.
