Travis County, TX — January 12, 2024, Rosemary Cooke was injured following an alleged drunk driver accident at around 9:00 p.m. on R.M. 620.

Authorities said in their statements that the crash happened in the area of R.M. 620 and Clara Van Street, which is near Lake Travis Elementary School.

According to officials, 65-year-old Rosemary Cooke was in a Chevy Silverado traveling northbound on R.M. 620. Cooke reportedly stopped for the light at Clara Van, then began to proceed after the light switched to green. Before getting up to speed, though, it appears a GMC Sierra failed to control speed and crashed into Cooke’s vehicle.

Due to the collision, Cooke had apparently serious injuries while the other driver had less serious injuries. Authorities allege that the GMC driver who hit Cooke was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. They recommended multiple charges, including intoxication assault.
