It might seem unusual to some to hear so few details from OSHA months after an accident. What might be more surprising is that reports like this are sometimes all a family ever gets to hear. People who have lost a loved one and are most in need of answers find themselves asking questions over and over again without authorities giving them any clear responses.
To make matters more serious, Texas happens to have the most complex work fatality laws of any other state in the country. Without clear evidence and effective legal strategy, Texas work fatality law can turn into a never-ending maze.
That’s why important for families to make sure their needs are being looked after. If OSHA and other officials can give them the answers they need, that’s good. But if there are still missing pieces, waiting around isn’t likely to result in any progress. It’s important someone picks up the slack as soon as possible while there’s still evidence to preserve.
