Tarrant County, TX — May 17, 2024, Ronald Tye was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident shortly before 3:45 p.m. along Matlock Road.

According to authorities, 77-year-old Ronald Tye was traveling on a southbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Matlock Road at the Greenleaf Drive intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound BMW on Greenleaf Drive attempted a left turn onto northbound Matlock at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to southbound traffic. This resulted in a T-bone collision between the front-end of the motorcycle and the back-left side of the BMW.

Tye suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
