Houston, TX — January 1, 2024, Ronald Andrew Hector was fatally injured following a car accident at around 6:30 a.m. along Richmond Avenue.

Preliminary information released about the fatal crash says it happened in the area of Richmond Avenue and Buttercup Street, just off Fondren.

Ronald Andrew Hector Killed in Car Accident in Houston, TX

According to officials, 23-year-old Ronald Hector was in a Kia Forte going westbound along Richmond Avenue. The vehicle apparently went to the right off the side of the road, went across the sidewalk, then crashed into a tree stump. The vehicle ultimately careened into a pole before coming to a stop.

As a result of the accident, Hector sustained fatal injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the crash. Authorities have not confirmed a particular cause for the accident pending further investigations.
