How Did This Accident Occur?
There is still very little publicly known about what went on during this accident. I think it’s important to avoid making assumptions and jumping to conclusions before the investigation is complete. It’s tempting, I’m sure, for some people to believe that driver error must have played a part in the wreck. Statistically, yes, it’s likely; but it’s not guaranteed.
In the three decades I’ve been in this line of work, I’ve analyzed thousands of car accidents. One thing I’ve come to understand is that car accidents are layered an complex, no matter how simple things appear on the surface. Sometimes, there are underlying factors that had a hand in the accident which are easily overlooked unless the investigation is thorough and meticulous enough to know where to look.
Personally, I hope the investigators get in-depth inspections done on all the vehicles that were involved, especially the one that ended up overturning. There could be some mechanical malfunction or product defect that was a causal factor in the collision or the condition of the victims after the wreck happened. However, if the authorities fail to cover all the bases, a third party investigation is always an option.
After all, the victims and their loved ones deserve to know the truth about this wreck, not just flimsy excuses and vague assumptions that place blame where it doesn’t necessary belong. Feel free to leave a comment letting me know your thoughts on the matter.
