Galveston, TX — January 26, 2024, one person was injured in a rollover car accident that took place just before 3:00 a.m. along O Avenue.
According to reports, a 33-year-old man was traveling in a westbound Hyundai Tucson SUV along O Avenue in the vicinity east of 39th Avenue when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unconfirmed reasons, the SUV failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered off of the right side of the road where it collided with a tree. The collision allegedly caused the vehicle to overturn, coming to rest on its left side and blocking the westbound lane of traffic.
The man—the sole occupant of the SUV—incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
