Maverick County, TX — April 22, 2024, Rodolfo Moreno, Juan Vaquera, and one other were injured due to a car accident at around 4:02 p.m. along FM 1021.
Authorities said that the accident took place in the area of Rock Squirrel Road, just outside El Indio.
According to officials, 54-year-old Rodolfo Moreno and a woman were in a Jeep Cherokee going going northwest on FM 1021. 52-year-old Juan Vaquera was in a Ford F-150 going southeast. The vehicles reportedly crossed paths and collided.
Due to the accident, Rodolfo Moreno, Juan Vaquera, and the passenger in the Jeep were injured. No other details about the crash can be confirmed.

After any serious car accident, it’s important to ensure evidence is being preserved. A lot of it can be time sensitive or subtle enough to require special tools and experience to look into. If authorities were able to dedicate the necessary time and resources to preserve all that evidence here, that would be good to hear. But if there’s more to the story, it may be that their investigations weren’t all that thorough.
