An investigation is underway following a car accident that happened during the afternoon hours of September 9th. According to official reports, Rocio Martinez was travelling east on MLK Blvd. when a GMC Acadia failed to yield right-of-way when entering an intersection. Due to the GMC failing to yield right of way, Martinez was struck by the GMC causing an accident that resulted in severe damage to both vehicles.
When the first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Martinez had sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. At this time, there has been no other information released, including the status of Martinez injuries, as well as if any charges or citation will be filed.
