April 3, 2026, Robert Taylor was injured due to an 18-wheeler accident at around 4:10 p.m. along Loop 1604.
According to initial details about the accident, 55-year-old Robert Taylor was in a GMC pickup going westbound along Loop 1604. A Freightliner tractor-trailer was going southbound on Senior Road. Authorities say that due to a distraction in the semi-truck, it crashed with Robert Taylor’s pickup.
Robert Taylor reportedly was seriously injured in the crash. No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable.
How Did This Accident Occur?
When authorities say there was a distraction in a vehicle, that almost always means a cellphone. That’s why cellphone data is just about the first thing I want to see after any serious crash, let alone a commercial truck accident. But I’ve seen all kinds of other “distractions” lead to accidents before. Not long ago, I had a case where a driver was reaching to grab a sandwich off the floorboard. It could be the driver arguing with their dispatch. It could even be something like a the driver or passenger having a medical emergency.
