Victoria County, TX — October 13, 2024, Ricky Ramirez and Gavin Espindola were killed in a single-car accident at approximately 3:30 a.m. along U.S. 59.
According to authorities, Ricky Ramirez and Gavin Espindola—ages 24 and 20, respectively—were traveling in a northeast bound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on U.S. Highway 59 in the vicinity northeast of the F.M. 444 intersection when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the pickup truck failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered to the left, entering the grassy median area where it overturned. It apparently rolled an unknown number of times, entering the southwest bound lanes of the highway as it did so before finally coming to a stop.
Both Ramirez and Espindola suffered fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and were declared deceased at the scene. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
