Houston, TX — February 12, 2024, Ricky Freed was killed in a single-car accident at approximately 1:00 a.m. along Woodedge Drive.
According to reports, Ricky Freed was traveling in a southeast bound Nissan Pathfinder along Woodedge Drive near the F.M. 1960 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the Pathfinder may have been traveling at high speeds leading up to the accident. It reportedly failed to safely navigate a curve in the roadway before losing control and beginning a clockwise spin. As it did so, the vehicle allegedly left the roadway and entered a ditch on the south side of the road. It then overturned, colliding with a tree and a metal fence before coming to a stop.
Freed reportedly sustained fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
