Prosper, TX — January 9, 2024, Richard Abbott was fatally injured due to a work accident which happened around 1:40 p.m. along Coit Road.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident took place off the corner of Coit Road and First Street.

According to officials, 23-year-old Richard Brock Abbot was working on an excavation project. While doing so, an excavator somehow struck Richard Abbott and pinned him against a wall. Due to this, Richard Abbott was killed.

OSHA listed four alleged “serious” violation citations in their reports, as well as a recommended penalty. Additional details remain unconfirmed.
