Accident Report

Smith County, TX — July 9, 2026, Rhanda Lacy, Leshonda Shepherd, Cynthia Donnell and a child died in a car accident at about 8 a.m. on State Highway 155 west of Flint.

Authorities said a southbound Toyota Highlander allegedly entered the wrong lane and collided head-on with a northbound Cadillac SUV near Cherokee Trail/County Road 1263.

Cadillac driver Rhanda Lacy, 60, of Crockett and passengers Leshona Sheperd, 41, of Crockett and Cynthia Donnell, 63, of Palestine were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, along with the 51-year-old Tyler man driving the Toyota, according to authorities. A 4-year-old girl who had been in the Cadillac died after being flown to a Dallas hospital.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Smith County crash at this time.
