Hutchins, TX — July 9, 2026, Reilith Buenano was killed in a wrong-way accident at about 9:30 p.m. on Interstate 20/Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway.

Authorities said a 2015 Kia Rio reportedly was driving erratically while headed west in the eastbound lanes of I-20. It narrowly missed several vehicles before crashing into a concrete median barrier near State Highway 310.

The driver, 22-year-old Reilith Valera Buenano, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Dallas County crash at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
