Accident Report
July 24, 2026, Reginald Celestine lost his life due to a dump truck accident sometime in the afternoon along State Highway 87.
According to authorities, Reginald Celestine was traveling in an eastbound motor vehicle on S.H. 87 in the vicinity of Sea Rim State Park when the accident took place. A dump truck made a turn from a private drive head east on the highway. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a rear-end collision subsequently occurred between the back of the dump truck and the front-end of the passenger vehicle.
Celestine—who had reportedly suffered fatal injuries over the course of the accident—was declared deceased at the scene. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.

I wish we had more details about the timing of everything in this accident. Did the dump truck fail to yield from the private road as it entered the highway? If so, why? The same questions should be asked of the passenger vehicle, as well. Was there a human error a factor with the car hitting the back of the truck? That way mechanical malfunctions or product defects can either be brought to light or ruled out as factors. After all, when everything is said and done, the loved ones left behind by the victim deserve more than just vague assumptions based on surface-level investigation.
