Ellis County, TX — July 30, 2024, a Red Oak man was injured as the result of a car accident at around 1:30 a.m. along Farm-to-Market 983.

Investigators said that the incident took place in the area of Summerall Lane.

According to officials, a 44-year-old Red Oak man was on a motorcycle going westbound on FM 983. The motorcycle reportedly made contact with the guardrail off the right side of the road. The rider was then thrown from the bike.

Due to the accident, the Red Oak man was seriously injured. No one else appeared to be involved in the accident. Additional details are unavailable.
