According to authorities, a Ford Expedition was at a stop behind a Toyota Tacoma on southbound S.H. 151 due to a lane closure when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Nissan Maxima occupied by a 28-year-old man failed to come to a stop for traffic conditions. It reportedly collided with the rear-end of the Ford Expedition. The impact apparently pushed the Expedition forward into the back of the Toyota Tacoma in a chain reaction event.

The man from the Maxima suffered serious injuries due to the wreck, according to reports. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
