Accident Report

June 22, 2026, Rasha Ali was injured as the result of a car accident at around 9:02 p.m. along Midway Road.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened in the area of the Midway Road and Spring Valley Road intersection.

According to officials, 46-year-old Rasha Ali and a woman were in a Honda CR-V going northbound on Midway. A Honda Accord was going westbound when it reportedly made an unsafe turn. The vehicles collided as a result.

Due to the accident, Rasha Ali had serious injuries, officials said. Reports did not mention any other injuries. Additional details about the crash are unavailable.

How Did This Accident Occur?

If it’s true that a driver made an unsafe turn here, then that usually means they simply weren’t paying attention to their surroundings. Of course, distracted driving could be the reason for that inattention. That’s why just about every accident investigation I’m a part of first looks at cellphone data. It’s just too common a cause these days not to look at right away. It would surprise folks the hoops investigators may have to jump through to get that data. In fact, authorities sometimes decide it’s not worth their time, so securing that evidence can require independent investigators stepping in and getting a court order. Maybe that all wasn’t necessary here, but it’s up to victims and families to decide if their situation is getting the attention it deserves.
