Collin County, TX — March 2, 2024, Ranjan Gupta was injured in a car accident at approximately 8:50 a.m. along State Highway 121.
According to authorities, 48-year-old Ranjan Gupta was traveling in a westbound Lexus on S.H. 121 approaching the Hillcrest Road intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that a pickup truck towing a trailer that was northbound on Hillcrest neglected to stop for a red light indicated by the traffic signal, entering the intersection at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front end of the pickup truck and the front left side of the Lexus.
Gupta incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. The 41-year-old man who had been an occupant of the pickup apparently incurred minor injuries, as well.
