Georgetown, TX — December 24, 2023, Ramiro Medina and two others were injured in a wrong-way car accident shortly after 2:45 a.m. along I.H. 35.
According to reports, a 19-year-old woman and 63-year-old Ramiro Medina were traveling in a northbound Chevy Silverado pickup truck on Interstate Highway 35 in the vicinity north of the Westinghouse Road overpass when the accident occurred.

For reasons yet to be confirmed, a 29-year-old man was allegedly traveling in a southbound Ford Fusion in the northbound lanes of the highway. This wrong-way situation led to a collision with the oncoming pickup truck. All three victims involved in the accident incurred suspected serious injuries as a result of the collision; they were taken to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive treatment.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been rainy and wet. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not currently available. The investigation is ongoing.
