Houston, TX — December 17, 2023, Ralph Matthews and one other person were injured in a car accident just before 7:00 a.m. along Galveston Rd.
According to reports, 84-year-old Ralph Matthews was traveling in a southbound Ford Ranger on Galveston Road in the vicinity north of the Clear Lake City Boulevard intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck was rear-ended by a Ford Fusion occupied by a 32-year-old man. The collision caused the pickup truck to overturn, coming to a stop in a ditch on the east side of the roadway. The 32-year-old man sustained suspected moderate injuries, while Matthews incurred reportedly serious injuries as a result of the accident; they were both transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.
