Dallas, TX — January 11, 2024, Rafael Salinas Mendoza was killed as the result of a car accident at around 2:15 a.m. on East 8th Street.
According to preliminary information from authorities, the crash happened in the area of East 8th Street and Moore Street.
Officials said in their statements that 49-year-old Rafael Salinas Mendoza was in a Honda Civic traveling eastbound along 8th Street. At Moore Street, it appears the Honda went left of center, crossed westbound lanes, and hit the curb along 8th Street. This resulted in the car overturning along the lanes of travel.
Due to the crash, Salinas Mendoza sustained fatal injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else in the vehicle at the time. There is also no mention of other vehicles being involved in the crash. Additional details remain unconfirmed.
