Harris County, TX — May 2, 2024, Punno Hallem and two other people were injured following a car accident just before 6:15 p.m. along Alief Clodine Road.
According to authorities, a Toyota Rav4 occupied by 47-year-old Punno Haleem and a Toyota Sienna were at a stop in two adjacent, northbound lanes on S.H. 6 at the Alief Clodine Road intersection due to a red light indicated by the traffic signal.

Officials indicate that, as the light turned green, both vehicles entered the intersection. However, reports state that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Nissan Sentra occupied by two 16-year-old girls neglected to stop for the red light, resulting in a collision between the left side of the Sentra and the front-ends of both the Sienna and the Rav4.
Haleem suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck, as did the passenger of the Sentra. The girl who was behind the wheel of the Sentra sustained apparently moderate injuries, as well. All three were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
