According to initial statements from OSHA, the incident happened in a neighborhood off Memorial Drive and Gessner Road. OSHA named the employer involved in the incident as “Power Contracting, Llc,” and they classified the work as “Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction.”

Right now, the circumstances surrounding the worker’s death are unavailable. Investigations appear to be ongoing.

How Did This Accident Occur?

There simply isn’t enough information right now to answer this question. Frankly, I would not be surprised if the OSHA statements on this incident are just as sparse on details months from now as they are currently. A lot of the calls I get from families affected by work accidents concern exactly that. The unfortunate reality is OSHA moves slowly, and they rarely go out of their way to keep families in the loop. So, it might take more thorough independent investigations to get to the bottom of what happened here and whether or not there is need for accountability.

Has anyone ever dealt with OSHA? What was your experience like? Let me know in the comments.
