Bexar County, TX — February 5, 2026, a Poteet man was injured as the result of a semi-truck rollover accident at around 7:51 a.m. along I-35.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened near Luckey Road, east of Lytle.
According to officials, a 36-year-old Poteet man was in a semi-trailer traveling southbound along the interstate. Due to reasons unclear right now, the truck lost control and overturned. The truck driver sustained serious injuries in the crash.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. No further information is available at this time.

A serious single-vehicle wreck can present unique challenges as it is, but a commercial truck wreck only raises further challenges. I can only hope authorities here have access to the tools and time they need to do a proper investigation. I often find that these kinds of accidents get the rushed treatment, so things like vehicle defects and roadway analysis can slip through the cracks. Ultimately, all possible factors need attention to ensure there’s no question about what went wrong. If authorities aren’t able to cover all those angles, the crash may need another look from independent investigators so those affected by the crash know they’re getting the full story.
