With a situation like this, it’s important that investigators are able to distinguish between some unforeseeable malfunction and an issue resulting from previously known problems. There are many businesses out there who allow known issues to persist to the point something goes catastrophically wrong. Are authorities interviewing locals and employees to find out if the chemical feeding system had known issues? Are they using proper tools to find out if this was a defective part that the manufacturer is responsible for? To say the least, this is not your typical accident. As such, the investigations should be far more than typical, as well.
