Harris County, TX — November 15, 2025, two officers and one other were injured following a police car accident at around 11:00 p.m. on Gessner Road.

Preliminary information about the accident says that it happened off the corner of the Gessner Road and Gustine Lane.

According to officials, a police vehicle was going northbound through the intersection in response to a call. While crossing, a southbound sedan reportedly turned left, and the vehicles collided. This caused the police vehicle to go off-road where it crashed into the Braeburn Terrace Apartments.

Due to the accident, two officers and the driver of the sedan were injured. Their injuries were described as minor. Police mentioned investing potential impairment as a factor in the accident, but further information has not been confirmed.

Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

It may just be standard procedure that authorities brought up possible impairment, considering this happened late at night on a Saturday—the peak time for drunk drivers. But even if alcohol was involved here, that doesn’t automatically make things open-and-shut. It might then raise questions about where the driver was coming from and if a local bar or restaurant unlawfully over-served them. Those possibilities combined with a no doubt chaotic crash scene tells me this is likely to be very complex situation even if there were no report serious injuries.
