San Antonio, TX — November 23, 2025, an officer was seriously injured due to a police car accident at around 6:25 p.m. along General McMullen Drive.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of North General McMullen Drive and Blueridge Street.
Investigators said that a police officer was responding to a call at the time traveling through the intersection. Another vehicle entered the crossing at the same time, and the vehicles reportedly collided.
Due to the accident, the officer was seriously injured. An unspecified number of people in the other vehicle were hurt, as well. Right now, additional details are unavailable.

People sometimes just assume accidents like this are open-and-shut and that there’s an automatic process for resolving things. Even officers, though, can find themselves with unanswered questions after a serious accident. These accidents tend to fall under Texas work injury law, and we have the most complex work accident laws of any other state in the country. So contrary to what people might think, an accident where an officers gets seriously hurt can be just as if not more challenging than a typical car wreck. Hopefully this accident is being treated as such.
