Plane crashes can be incredibly complex, and it’s not the sort of thing local authorities typically handle on their own. This can raise serious questions about what steps were taken to secure the scene and preserve evidence. Since this could involve anything from a medical emergency to weather to maintenance-related issues to defects, it’s crucial that parts are preserved and put in the hands of experienced specialists who have the tools and experience to determine what went wrong. If nothing else, there’s a family out there who deserves to know they’re getting the full story.
