How Did This Accident Occur?

It would be easy to write off this crash as the result of driver error or fatigue, but in my experience correct answers seldom come easily in accident investigations.

At this point, we don’t know if the pickup hit the sign while attempting a turn or if it veered off the road while trying to avoid an obstacle. Maybe a mechanical issue that affected the Ford’s brakes or steering contributed to the crash.

Investigators must consider these possibilities as they pore over physical evidence, data from the pickup’s engine control module and any available video footage of the crash. Cell phone records could show what the driver was doing at the time of the crash, while a forensic examination of the pickup could identify any mechanical problems with the vehicle.

This is the best way to get deserved answers for the injured man and his family.
