Clarke County, AL — February 16, 2024, Perionta Norsworthy was killed in a logging truck accident at approximately 1:30 p.m. along S.H. 69.
According to authorities, the accident took place on State Highway 69 in the vicinity near Salitpa.

The causal factors that led to the crash are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a loaded logging truck occupied by Perionta Norsworthy, of Waynesboro, Mississippi, collided with the back of another loaded logging truck. Norsworthy incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the collision; he was declared deceased at the scene.
