Ward County, TX — January 27, 2024, a pedestrian was killed in a truck accident shortly after 6:00 a.m. along Interstate Highway 20.
According to reports, an 18-wheeler was traveling westbound in the outside lane of Interstate 20 in the vicinity west of Rogers Street when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler struck a pedestrian that had been walking along the roadway. The driver of the 18-wheeler allegedly pulled the vehicle over to the shoulder immediately after the incident and contacted emergency services. The victim reportedly incurred fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene.
