Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

A lot of people will likely see a pedestrian on an interstate and assume this is all open-and-shut. However, these preliminary reports don’t say where exactly the victim was, why they were there, whether or not they were illuminated somehow, or whether or not the truck driver had any reasonable chance to avoid the collision. Regardless of what is or isn’t likely, someone lost their life here. That means there’s a family that deserves answers, and jumping to conclusions without clear evidence isn’t going to help anyone.
