At first I thought this was one of the fatalities I read about in the news following this significant dust storm, as at least four people were identified as losing their lives during this inclement weather. As I look at certain details, though, this seems to be yet another separate incident—one that the news for some reason didn’t talk about a lot.
This makes me wonder if all the chaos on this day led to this accident slipping through the cracks and not getting the attention it needs. It would surprise people how often I get calls from families who were completely left in the dark with unanswered questions because authorities just moved on without actually investigating their situation. It’s one of the reasons independent investigators can be such a vital tool for families after a deadly accident. Hopefully steps were taken here to get an outside set of eyes looking things over if authorities had too much on their plate and weren’t able to investigate themselves.
