Were any other vehicles able to avoid the pedestrian? Was the truck driver distracted or fatigued? Did another vehicle screen the truck driver’s view? Did the truck have an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism? Addressing questions like this will help authorities in their investigation of this crash.
Investigators will pore over vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage to reconstruct this accident, while cell phone records could help track the pedestrian’s movements and show what the truck driver was doing at the time.
