Houston, TX — March 14, 2024, one person was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian versus car accident sometime before 3:50 a.m. on the Katy Freeway feeder road.
Officials indicate that the incident occurred in the westbound lanes of the Katy Freeway feeder road in the vicinity of Park Ten.

The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear. The pedestrian was found with part of their leg allegedly missing, apparently having been struck by a motor vehicle. They were declared deceased at the scene. Not far from where the pedestrian was located was purportedly a car fire, though it is not clear at this time whether or not that car was the one that struck and killed the pedestrian. The person(s) in the vehicle that hit the victim fled the scene, neglecting to stop and render aid of any sort to the pedestrian.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
