Accident Report
April 21, 2026, one person was injured due to a vehicle vs pedestrian hit-and-run accident at 9:11 p.m. on University Drive.
Investigators said that the accident took place in the area of the University Drive and Cornell Lane intersection.
It appears that a 30-year-old man was on foot in the area of of the above intersection. A vehicle going southbound reportedly struck the pedestrian. The vehicle then left the scene.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian was seriously injured. It’s unclear if authorities have identified or located the driver.
How Did This Accident Occur?
A pedestrian accident can often involve either pedestrians failing to yield or drivers not paying attention to the road. I can’t say what exactly happened here, but drivers don’t often flee an accident scene after doing nothing wrong. It would surprise me if that proved true here, but it’s important to find the driver and get answers before jumping to conclusions. If it hasn’t happened already, hopefully someone can come forward and provide new details authorities can use to complete their investigations and work toward accountability for the accident.
