One of my first thoughts following accidents like this is whether authorities have checked nearby businesses or homes for security cameras. A lot of people have cameras these days, and it’s possible there may be one nearby with a view of the road that could show more details about the suspect vehicle. Publishing that footage could be a big step forward, as someone may recognize it. This kind of evidence is often time-sensitive, though, so hopefully authorities are already looking into this. If not, they could be missing vital details.
